The Australian music industry stepped up its promotion of the COVID-19 vaccine with the launch of an advertising campaign called “Vax The Nation”.
Tour operators, music festivals, venues and over 220 artists have supported the campaign, which highlights the importance of vaccines on the roadmap from the lockdown.
Hunters and Collectors front man Mark Seymour says it has gotten to a point where artists need to appeal to audiences.
“The bottom line is vaccination,” he told Gareth Parker over the 6PR breakfast.
“All the gigs that we pilot and put on our calendar are constantly being postponed.
“We hope 2022 is the year it comes back … but that’s what the promoters are looking at right now.”
