The Leaps and Bounds Music Festival celebrates soul, hip hop and funk

A grassroots gathering features a band of local bands and DJs.

The Leaps and Bounds Music Festival is partnering with the local nonprofit, Grassroots Gatherings, to bring soul, jazz, R&B, hip hop and funk to this year’s festival.

A Grassroots Gathering, held at Collingwood Town Hall later this month, will raise funds to continue promoting creative community events.

A Grassroots Gathering hosts a range of local bands and DJs and features performances by Wild the girl, Fossey, Katriona, Colette, and Salomon C.

After half a decade of running volunteer-run events and initiatives like the annual CERES Gathering, this event will open a new chapter for Grassroots Gatherings as they grow into a registered not-for-profit organization.

First Nations player tickets are free, while all other early bird tickets can be purchased for $ 15 + BF, general admission for $ 20 + BF, or box office tickets for $ 25 + BF.
