Call for Auditions: Music Competition in Ghana

The competition is open to undiscovered Ghanaian rappers and singers and will reward the winner with a GHC 100,000 record deal. The winner is also managed by Richie Mensah-led Lynx Entertainment, which is home to musicians KiDi and Kuami Eugene.

Interested participants can submit their contributions via the Talent Hunt Live app on Android or iOS. Applicants must register and upload their foreplay videos to the platform.

“Talent Hunt’s focus is on developing a talent discovery model that aims to meet the best of emerging talent while providing access to industry insiders and shakers for careers in their chosen path,” said Mark McKenzie Danquah, Business Development Manager at Tekhype, opposite Music In Afrika.

He said while the 2020 edition of the competition would focus solely on music, subsequent competitions would examine dance, stand-up comedy, and the spoken word.

The organizers said the 2020 edition would run virtually on Zoom and through the Tekhype app. The experienced rappers Okyeame Kwame and Reggie Rockstone will be on the jury of the competition together with Mensah.

The finalists will be announced two weeks after the end of the auditions October 25. You will then go through nine weeks of competition, at the end of which a winner will be selected.
