The music composer Amaal Mallik composed the music for the song ‘Tum Aaoge’ for the current film ‘Bell Bottom’. In an exclusive conversation with IANS Mallik shared his experience in which he said the song ‘Tum Aaoge’ is one of my most special songs and one of my best works that I have done for film music. I’m glad that something as pure, honest and different as ‘Tum Aaoge’ was chosen for a film like ‘Bell Bottom’. “
The song is sung by Amaal’s brother Armaan and the lyrics are by Rashmi Virag. “I think a song like this hasn’t been in a movie for a long time. It is a beautiful homage to the armed forces and our heroes who stand for us all the time at the border and take care of the country instead of worrying about their families. “
Amaal Mallik added, “It’s great to be part of a film that can stand upright, get into theaters, get great reviews and get the box office going too. It’s an incredible feeling to be part of the story. “
“Bell Bottom” is also the first collaboration between Amaal Mallik and his father Daboo Mallik for the song “Tum Yun Hi Kabhi”.
Mallik has been part of the Hindi music industry for 7 years. “Sometimes I don’t think it’s been 7 years as a composer in the industry. I’m glad I managed to do a variety of works on many different topics, to make music that is trendy yet soulful and emotional. “
In 2015 Amaal Mallik composed two songs for the film “Roy”. The song ‘Sooraj Dooba Hain’, sung by Arijit Singh and Aditi Singh Sharma, was the biggest hit of the year and earned him a Filmfare Award for best music director. “I also brought several genres into the Indian music scene through my songs, such as’ Suraj Dooba Hain ‘,’ Sau Asmaan ” etc. I think the emergence of electronic music in India happened through these songs.”
With the pop sensation Dua Lipa, the young music composer also undertook a collaboration that is unique in the world. “I’m glad to be someone who represents the next generation of Indian music and one of the youngest composers to have performed with the Melbourne Orchestra to date. I recently worked with Dua Lipa. She loved my work and what I did for the Indian version of the song ‘Levitating’. “

I think I can make a place for myself right now and I’m happy to be making the kind of music I believe in.
