A new music festival is planned for this summer in Chelmsford near Hylands Park

A brand new music festival is coming to Chelmsford this summer.

After a year of canceling all of Essex’s scheduled music events, Essex residents may finally be able to enjoy live music in the sun (or rain) if everything goes according to plan and the government roadmap is not locked.

Festivals such as Standon Calling in Hertfordshire and Reading and Leeds Festival take place this summer. All social distancing measures are expected to wear off on June 21, 2021.

And now Essex is going to have a ton of fun near where the V Festival once took place.

Between Hylands Park and the city of Chelmsford, Essex, the venue is just off Margaretting Road.

The current festival program

The New World Fest will take place here on Saturday, July 17th, featuring artists from the world of house and garage music.

Their website describes the New World Fest as follows: “A one-day, outdoor New World Fest event in Chelmsford, bringing all of your favorite artists and DJs in one place with the biggest house, biggest garage, old school and drum and bass play.”

It should start at 11 a.m. and continue until 11 p.m.
